'Hey Serenity hand me the potato salad would ya' Joey said just finishing his fourth chicken wing. Serenity was smiling as always and giggled 'sure thing Joey' she said passing him the plastic bowl. Tristan looked at the small child with them 'hey Mokuba why isn't Seto here' Mokuba looked up brought out of his day dream Joey spoke up 'yeah where is he' Mokuba smiled 'well he told me he was ill but I think it has something to do with Dee' the gang looked up 'oh right I haven't told you yet sorry' Mokuba explained about Dee and her step carers and the living situation getting wide eyed looks from all the friends and a evil glance between Tristan and Joey 'so that's what's happening' Mokuba said opening his can of soda Serenity clapped her hands together 'I think that's sweet that Seto has a crush and she sounds like a nice person' Tristan looked at Serenity adoringly and Joey caught his eyes and smiled 'ah so loves in the air all around hey' Mokuba said to himself and Joey laughed 'yep its all kicking off around here hey did any of you text Tae and the Moto twins' Joey had been calling them that for a while but he was the only one who did it 'Tae had a dance recital and Yugi and Yugirl are with their grandpa for the day because he's going for a shop keepers convention tomorrow' Tristan said 'oh and what about Duke' Tristan's face fell slightly 'oh I forgot' he said bluntly Mokuba ate his sandwich silently he had been day dreaming again all the 'what if's' he had in his head had made it hard to concentrate recently 'hey Mokuba are you okay' Serenity said Mokuba smiled at her she was Joey's younger sister and understood Mokuba completely when it came to his big brother 'nothing Serenity just thinking about when I'm going to school I mean what if I get picked on or if I don't make friends' Serenity smiled and rubbed his head 'don't be silly you're a great person and everyone's going to want to be your friend' she said Mokuba felt relaxed again Tristan gave him a look of pain an anguish which Joey caught 'face it Tristan you cant beat cuteness itself' Joey said smirking Serenity looked at them not knowing what was going on and they stayed silent Mokuba smiled he hadn't had much of this before having picnics with friends and he loved every second he just wished his big brother would open up to them as well.




The duel match had already begun with Seto having two face downs and Ronald having flaming swordsman in defence mode. They had moved from the apartment to the roof where Kaiba had built a training ground for him and Mokuba 'your turn old man' Seto said. Dee had just stood there watching Seto duel she didn't care about what the opponent did she was just amazed at Kaiba he had completely changed, he had seemed out of place slightly and lost earlier but in here holding his duel deck and wearing a superior grin she saw this was where he was at his best his natural home but he also seemed cold and menacing up there away from anyone else all alone she wished him luck and looked away from this other Seto Kaiba to the man at the other end 'that was a foolish move as I play pot of greed so I can draw two more cards from my deck' he said triumphantly and drew the cards with a flashy movement  he looked at them quickly and  placed one on his duel disk 'I play George the headless horseman in attack mode and using his special ability can attack your life points directly' he said triumphantly but Kaiba raised his index finger and wagged it 'nu hu hu because you feel right into my trap by attacking me directly you activate my spell card day of reckoning which when I sacrifice a hundred of my life points can sacrifice any of your monsters to bring any card I want to the field in attack mode and I choose to sacrifice your headless horseman and flaming swordsman to bring out the blue eyes white dragon' he said smiling Dee gasped he was so confident so in control it made Dee blush he had been handsome before but the attitude was making her heart melt and her stomach fill with butterflies but she was taken out of the rut when the blue eyes came on to the field it roared sending shivers down Dee's spine she had never seen the blue eyes before in her life but she could swear she had seen it before in a dream it was vague but she definitely remembered it from somewhere the dragon reared up to apply a devastating blow to Ronald's life points which now counted down to just one thousand while Seto's where still at three thousand and two hundred he smiled viciously at Ronald who had sweat drops rolling down his forehead he quickly wiped them away 'you ready to give up and go back to where ever you came from' Seto shouted to Ronald who looked straight at him and looked angry 'I think its time for plan B' he said and jumped off the platform towards the waiting helicopter 'see you later' he shouted over his shoulder as Seto jumped down 'hey you coward come back here so I can beat you' he cried but the helicopter was already gone and so was the goons.

Dee looked up at Seto 'you where great you would have beaten him if he hadn't run off' Dee said and Kaiba smiled awkwardly 'well thanks I know I would have' he said shyly he cursed himself he couldn't even gloat in front of this girl and it ticked him off but when she smiled he felt better 'what do you think he meant by plan B' Dee said putting her hands on her hips and watching the expensive helicopters fly out to the distance 'obviously he means to use a different means to get Kaiba corp.' Kaiba's eyes widened as he realised what that could mean 'where's Mokuba' he said already turning to get to the elevator  'he's in central park with the others I'll go get him' Dee said and got in the elevator 'don't bring him back here its not safe' Seto said snapping out his radio to call his best bodyguards 'I'll stay here and get the apartment fixed but I need you to get Mokuba and you somewhere safe' he said Dee grabbed his sleeve 'but you cant stay here on your own what if he comes back' she said her body turning to ice at the thought. He gave her a small smile but remembered the no touch rule and moved back a bit 'all I care about is getting you two safe and it will look like I'm running away scared if I go too' he said walking out of the elevator and two Rolls Royce had already pulled up 'take this and give it to Mokuba please' Seto said handing her one of his blue eyes white dragons 'I'm going to my dads old office to dig up some files on Ronald Kaiba' he said and turned swiftly towards the rolls Royce Dee hurried to the other one and told the man where to go hugging the card to her chest like it was a living thing that could protect her.




Mokuba was eating and laughing at Joey and Tristan fighting over who's got the best punch when he heard Dee shouting at him he turned and saw her running up to them Joey and Tristan had stopped in their tracks as she hugged Mokuba tightly 'thank god your alright Mokuba' she said 'Dee what's wrong what happened' he knew something was wrong she calmed herself down and pulled away sitting on her knees 'someone claiming to be your fathers brother broke into your apartment Kaiba duelled him but Ronald Kaiba ran away before Seto could beat him and said that he had another plan to take over our company' she said taking a deep breath Mokuba gasped 'but where's big brother' he said worried Dee smiled 'don't worry your brother went to falcon island to find out who he was' she said waving her hand she turned to the others 'oh I'm sorry' she said and bowed low 'my names Dee James and I'm Mokuba's living in nanny' Joey cleared his throat 'well its nice to meet you Dee I'm Joey wheeler and this is my little sister Serenity and this is my friend Tristan Thomas Taylor' he said Dee smiled 'its nice to meet you all' she said Mokuba spoke up 'when are we going back to Kaiba tower then' he said 'we cant go back your brother gave me orders to take you somewhere else until he finds out how much of a threat this Ronald Kaiba is' she said Mokuba sighed but nodded and Serenity spoke up 'then why don't you stay with us Mokuba, Dee it'll be fun wont it Joey' she said clutching her brothers arm Joey grinned 'yeah why not I mean its not the Ritz but Serenity here has spruced it up' he said he and Serenity had moved out of their parents house so they could take care of each other it was a small apartment but it had become the sort of go-to house for the gang Dee gasped and bowed again 'thank you so much' she said smiling Mokuba bowed to 'yeah thanks guys I'm sure Seto will appreciate this'



'what do you mean your staying at that blond idiots house you'll catch the stupid virus' Kaiba said down the phone he heard an angry Brooklyn accent from the other line and smiled it was fun to make fun of Joey wheeler 'don't worry big brother Dee and Serenity are here too' he said laughing  a little 'alright as long as your safe make sure you stay low and don't call me I'll call you okay' he said reassuringly down the line from the payphone he heard Mokuba reply and hung up and Seto stepped out wearing a black hoody with ripped sleeves he kept his tight pants with the three belts on and pulled the hood over his head there had been nothing at falcon tower but the deck Roland had used was identical to a certain annoying enemy that had been in Pegasus's tournament and word was that this was where she was hiding.
